In two hours, I will have been home for 24 hours.
For today, I am honestly say “Yesterday, I was in France.”
And so, time moves on as it always does while I struggle to orientate myself in the grand scheme of life.
If you’re feeling frightened about what comes next, don’t be. Embrace the uncertainty. Allow it to lead you places. Be brave as it challenges you to exercise both your heart and your mind as you create your own path towards happiness, don’t waste time with regret. Spin wildly into your next action. Enjoy the present, each moment, as it comes; because you’ll never get another one quite like it. And if you should ever look up and find yourself lost, simply take a breath and start over. Retrace your steps and go back to the purest place in your heart… where your hope lives. You’ll find your way again.

Different parts of your personality sort of float to the top, and you take on qualities, mannerisms, and opinions that define the new people around you. And there’s nothing wrong with that; it’s often part of the reason you left in the first place. This is…appalling. I’ve been reading about this story all day, and it just gets worse with every layer. Oh, and it’s “likely she won’t face any charges,” according to the prosecution.
He better take her to civil court and sue her for every penny she has.
Shameful.
Do you ever feel like for your whole life, no matter how far you go or how many people you meet, you’ll always be trying to prove one person wrong? Like your successes and achievements will be just slightly less sweet if they don’t notice, if they don’t nod gently in your direction as if to say, “Good job.”
